Early Access Roadmap

New Normal Soft Inc. put War of Genesis: Idle Loot into Early Access so a trade-enabled Steam Community Market could be tuned against real Market flow and farming balance. Spreadsheets cannot tell the studio whether a Diamond listing cost, a four-hour Diamond drip, and overnight loot will produce a healthy player market. Steam Early Access began 10 September 2026 so Commanders could generate that flow.

This page separates three layers that Steam threads keep flattening into one “roadmap”:

  1. What the Early Access FAQ already committed to as direction
  2. What Steam News has posted since servers opened
  3. What community tools and player discussion expect — which you must still confirm on Steam News

Why Early Access, in the studio’s words

Idle Loot is an idle farming RPG that lives on the Windows desktop. The FAQ says the team wants to check and fine-tune farming and overall economy balance with players before a full release, then improve the game against diverse feedback. That is why bugs on listing, retrieval, and Diamond income are not side quests. They are the test the Early Access label exists to run. Pair this page with the Steam Marketplace guide when you decide whether a drop is worth a Diamond.

The FAQ anticipates roughly up to two months, adjustable if content or feedback slips. The goal is a complete enough experience, not a fixed date. The game stays free to play in Early Access and in the planned full version, with optional paid items such as passes.

Full-version directions (still directional)

The FAQ lists four buckets that may change with development:

  • Content expansion — additional farming areas, growth stages, and more things to do beyond the opening chapter set (Ancient Ruins through later maps).
  • Economy and trading — stabilize player-to-player trading and keep tuning the balance that Early Access is measuring.
  • Convenience — desktop overlay UI and ease of control, which matters because the window is meant to sit beside work, not replace it.
  • Volume — deeper progression so AFK hours have more sinks than a single gear treadmill.

Those bullets are intentions. They are not patch notes. For live breakage, use launch issues instead of assuming a convenience pass will arrive this week.

Community expectations versus confirmed work

Community tools and player discussion expect loadout presets and jewel auto-combine. Commanders who juggle a Swordsman raid set and an Archer farm set currently rebuild by hand. Jewels also pile up; fusing six of a tier into the next tier is the kind of chore an auto-combine toggle would eat. Phrase this carefully: those features are expectations from community tools and player discussion. Confirm them on Steam News before you hold Diamonds or stop using the blacksmith by hand.

The unofficial companion planner models trees, yields, and jewel fusion as a database. It is not a studio preview of the overlay.

Marketplace retrieval and the mailbox hope

The Market is playable enough to list, and listing consumes a Diamond. Opening-week Commanders report that listed items cannot be retrieved. Players hope for a mailbox (or similar delivery inbox) so a failed sale or a cancelled listing comes back instead of vanishing into Steam’s hold. Until News describes that inbox, assume a listing is a one-way Diamond spend plus Steam’s own market rules. The updates hub will link any retrieval patch the day it is written down.

That retrieval gap is exactly why Early Access exists. A Market you cannot unwind will distort farming: people either list nothing, or they list junk they can afford to lose. Feedback on that loop belongs on Steam discussions and Discord, with item names and timestamps, not as a review bomb that says “dead game.”

How Commanders should read the next notices

Studio posts address players as Commanders. When a notice says content improvements, check whether it names overlay presets, jewel combining, mailbox retrieval, anti-cheat, or billing. Anything unnamed stays speculative. Cross-check farming and Alliance Raids after a map or drop-table change, and refresh the class tier list only when a patch actually moves Swordsman, Archer, or Mage numbers.

If you still cannot open the client, the roadmap will not help you. Fix the unsigned executable path first, then come back.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

Why is Idle Loot in Early Access?

The studio wants real Steam Market flow to balance farming. See this roadmap and the marketplace guide for how listings spend Diamonds.

How long will Early Access last?

The FAQ says roughly up to two months, flexible. Watch Steam News via the updates hub rather than a fan countdown.

Are loadout presets and jewel auto-combine confirmed?

Community tools and player discussion expect them. Confirm on Steam News. Until then, keep using blacksmith synthesis manually.

Can I retrieve a listed Market item?

Commanders report no retrieval today and hope for a mailbox change. Treat a listing as committed; read launch issues if a sale bugs out.

Will the full version stay free?

The FAQ says yes, with optional paid items such as passes. Store policy can change; verify on the official Steam page.
