War of Genesis: Idle Loot Training Ground and Ability Unlock

SSS through LR ranks, gold sinks, and why you lock a class before you spend.

Training and Growth

Idle combat in War of Genesis: Idle Loot is automatic. Growth is not. After the overlay is parked, Commanders still open Training Ground, Ability Unlock, and the gold sinks that raise Attack, Defense, HP, and related lines. Steam Early Access began 10 September 2026. This page covers those desks. Overlay placement stays on How to Play. First-hour order stays on Getting Started.

Sir Eat Alot’s starter video (linked from Getting Started) splits Training and Growth into their own chapters. We do not embed that video here — one page, one clip — so this article is the written map of those menus.

Training Ground

Steam achievements prove the loop is real and countable:

  • Participate once
  • Complete any Training 10, 100, and 200 times
  • Obtain SSS, SR, UR, then LR rank in the Training Ground

Ranks are the signal that the desk is not a one-click tutorial. You keep running it. Treat SSS as the first stamp, not the end. LR is the long grind; pair it with the achievements grouping if you are trophy hunting rather than pushing stages.

Training Ground sits beside the overlay, not instead of it. Stages still drop gear while you are in the menu. A full bag will still stall AFK, so clear Equipment Forge before you sit in Training for an hour.

Ability Unlock

Ability Unlock is a second ranked desk with the same letter ladder: SSS, SR, UR, LR. Achievements fire for participating once and for each of those ranks. The LR trophy is even titled like a spend joke. That is a hint: this desk can eat currency. Do not confuse it with a Steam coupon. There is still no public code list on the codes hub.

Skill achievements fire when you learn a Lv.35, Lv.65, or Lv.95 skill. Those levels sit on the class tree you actually train. Dumping gold into a Swordsman you will abandon after a Hunter Bow drop is how Early Access budgets die. Lock a main on the class hub first.

What Training gold actually buys

Community companion tables list gold-cost scaling for core lines: Attack, Defense, HP, Crit Rate, Gold Boost, EXP Boost. Phrase that as a community catalog, not a studio spreadsheet. In the client you will see the costs rise as you click. Gold Boost and EXP Boost look tempting for AFK. They do not replace a better stage. If your clear time on Normal 4-2 is already comfortable, extra gold percent is a luxury. If you cannot finish the map, Attack and the class tier list matter more.

User-level gates at 10 / 40 / 70 / 100 sit next to this gold. Roster slots around Lv.70 / 80 / 90 do not refund Training spent on the previous portrait. A Steam review from the first days noted there are no character-specific loadouts yet: switching heroes means resetting weapons and skills. Community discussion expects presets; confirm that on Steam News via the roadmap.

Growth that is not Training

Growth in this game is a pile of desks, not one bar:

Diamonds are a separate faucet. Players report about one every four hours. They list Market items or buy growth. That choice lives on the Diamonds guide, not here.

Paid permanent buffs for ATK, DEF, EXP, gold, and drop rate exist. They are the core of the pay-to-win complaints in Mixed Steam reviews. Training gold is the free-path version of the same idea. Spend it slowly.

When Training, Ability Unlock, and the overlay agree, you should have a locked class, a bag that is not full, and a rank you can name. Then farm or raid. Do not open every growth desk at once on day one.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

What is Training Ground?

A ranked growth desk with SSS through LR trophies. Pair this Training guide with achievements if you are chasing LR.

Should I spend Training gold on day one?

Lock a main on the class hub first. Switching heroes currently rebuilds weapons and skills.

Is Ability Unlock the same as Training Ground?

No. It is a second ranked desk with the same letter ladder. Both are covered on Training and Growth.

Do Diamonds belong in Training?

Only if you choose growth over listing. Read Diamonds before you spend the four-hour drip.

Where is the starter video that shows these menus?

On Getting Started. This page stays text so we do not duplicate the embed.
