War of Genesis: Idle Loot Swordsman, Archer, and Mage

Three class tabs, named heroes, and why Training gold waits until you lock a main.

Classes Hub

War of Genesis: Idle Loot uses three class labels: Swordsman, Archer, and Mage. Combat is automatic. You never aim or fire a skill by hand. Class still matters because weapons lock to a tab and each tab has its own skill tree. Steam Early Access began 10 September 2026, so this hub maps those trees.

Read Swordsman, Archer, and Mage before Training gold. The class tier list ranks the same labels by AFK clear, bosses, and Arena with opening-week uncertainty. New accounts should also open Getting Started so the overlay and bag loop stay stable.

Named heroes and roster slots

Official screenshots show Ice Pendragon (white hair, plate) on the character window with Swordsman, Archer, and Mage selectable. Ice Pendragon is a named hero you equip. The class is still one of those three labels.

Jane Shore (red hair) appears beside the Arena panel. That shot does not show the class tab, so this wiki does not assign her a class. A third portrait sits in the Lv.70 roster slot: dark hair, red scarf, unnamed here. Roster slots unlock around user Lv.70 / 80 / 90. Steam achievements prove character tiers 4, 5, and 6 exist. User-level gates sit at 10 / 40 / 70 / 100. Named heroes ride on top of the class you train.

What class changes in an idle fight

A Swordsman toast refuses Hunter Bow; that weapon belongs on Archer. Wooden Quiver can hit the same lock. Community datamine and companion catalogs list 1,800+ items across 14 slots (weapon, sub-weapon, helmet, chest, gloves, boots, pauldrons, cloak, plus six accessory types) and tiers 1–6. Class-locked weapons are why swapping mains is expensive.

A Steam review from the first days of Early Access notes a real pain point: switching characters currently means re-setting weapons and skills because there are no character-specific loadouts. Keep one main warm.

Named portraits, slot unlocks, and the 33-character community count live on the character roster. Do not paste Idle Heroes names onto that list.

Training gold

Do not dump Training gold before you lock a main. Skill achievements fire at Lv.35 / 65 / 95, so the tree you feed follows you. Compare the three class pages, then the class tier list, then commit. Growth desks are on Training and Growth.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

Which class should I pick first?

There is no settled winner. Read Swordsman, Archer, and Mage, then the class tier list. Lock one main before Training gold.

Is Ice Pendragon a fourth class?

No. Ice Pendragon is a named hero shown with the three tabs. You equip the portrait; the class label stays Swordsman, Archer, or Mage. See Swordsman for that window.

When do extra roster slots unlock?

Official shots label requirements around user **Lv.70**, **Lv.80**, and **Lv.90**. The Lv.70 slot shows an unnamed dark-haired portrait with a red scarf. Character tiers 4–6 are separate collectibles. See Swordsman for that roster window.

Why does class matter if combat is automatic?

Auto-battle still reads your weapon family and skill tree. A Swordsman cannot use Hunter Bow. Each tab spends its own skill points toward the Lv.35 / 65 / 95 gates. Compare the three pages from this Classes Hub.

Should I train all three classes at once?

Not in week one. Switching characters currently means re-setting weapons and skills. Park gold using Getting Started habits until one main is locked.
